Winter Reading Program 2018

The Winter Reading Program for young children is back at Blackwater Regional Library! Thank you for taking time to participate and read to a child!

The Winter Reading Program runs from February 1 – February 28, 2018 and is open to children age 0 to Grade 1.  Our goal is to instill a love of reading in all children so they grow to become great readers!

During the Winter Reading Program, we ask that you read at least one book per day, from February 1st – February 28th, to complete the program. Visit the branch of your choice and upon registration, each child will be given a coloring page to keep track of the number of days spent reading.

For each day you read, your child will color a hat to showing their reading activity.  A separate reading log is provided on the reverse side of the activity tracker for parents who chose to record the titles read instead of using the coloring page.

Each child who completes the program, by filling their coloring page or recording at least 28 titles on the reading log, will receive a winter reading certificate for being an awesome reader!

All completed coloring pages and/or reading logs are due between February 28, 2018 and March 3, 2018 to receive a certificate.
