Hoopla is a groundbreaking digital media service offered by your local public library that allows you to borrow movies, music, audiobooks, ebooks, comics and TV shows to enjoy on your computer, tablet, or phone – and even your TV! With no waiting, titles can be streamed immediately, or downloaded to phones or tablets for offline enjoyment later. OVERDRIVE is provided to BRL patrons through Southern Virginia Libraries United Electronically (SOVALUe), a multi-library system consortium which provides more of the content you want when you want it! You will be able to download and read eBooks for free on your PC, Mac computer, tablet, or your dedicated eBook reading device (including Nook, Kindle, and many others). Depending on the title you will also be able to download and listen to audiobooks on your computer or on your portable music device. View the get started guide for Overdrive and the Libby app.

In addition to the SOVALUe consortium collection, BRL customers can add the Library of Virginia to their list of libraries on either the Overdrive or Libby app. Then add Blackwater Regional Library system for branch and enter your BRL card number. This collection on the Library of Virginia includes a large collection of unlimited magazine checkouts, e-books, and e-audiobooks. This collection also includes Great Courses, and a wide range of educational material for children and teens.

Digital Magazines are provided by the Library of Virginia through Overdrive and the Libby app.
