Offered Starting in September till May

The Young and the Restless (ages 6-24 months)
Rhymes, songs, and simple stories designed to enhance language development and foster a love
of reading. Length of program 30 minutes to one hour.

Franklin: Fridays at 10:00
Smithfield: Mondays at 10:00
Courtland: Thursdays at 10:00

Movers and Shakers (ages 2-3)
This storytime is designed for parent-child interaction. Acting as a role model, the parent leads the
child through fingerplays, action rhymes, and sitting/listening behavior. Length of program - 30
minutes to one hour.

Smithfield: Mondays at 11:00
Windsor: Tuesdays at 10:00
Carrollton: Fridays at 9:30

On My Own Storytime (ages 3-5)
This storytime may include stories, fingerplays, songs, action rhymes, flannel board presentations,
or a literature-based video. Simple crafts are also sometimes part of the fun. Length of program -
30 minutes to one hour

Franklin: Thursdays at 10:00
Carrollton: Thursdays at 10:00
Smithfield: Mondays at 2:00
Windsor: Tuesdays at 10:45
Courtland: Tuesdays at 10:00
Claremont: Tuesdays at 9:30
Surry: Mondays at 10:00
Waverly: Tuesdays at 11:00
Wakefield: Thursdays at 10:00

School-Age Programs
Come hang out at the library and enjoy some of the best in kids' books. These popular programs
give kids a great way to unwind.

Carrollton: 2nd Tuesday of each month @ 4:30
Smithfield: 2nd Wednesday of each month time varies
Courtland: 2nd Tuesday of each month at 4:00
Franklin: Science Saturdays: Monthly from 10:00-12:00
