The Young and the Restless (ages 6-24 months)
20 minutes of rhymes, songs, and simple stories designed to enhance language development and foster a love of reading. An additional 15 minutes of playtime with toys and other children ends the program.
Franklin: Fridays at 10:00
Smithfield: Mondays at 10:00
Courtland: Thursdays at 10:00
Movers and Shakers (ages 2-3)
These 30-minute storyhours are designed for parent-child interaction. Acting as a role model, the parent leads the child through fingerplays, action rhymes, and sitting/listening behavior. An additional 15 minutes are spent playing with toys and other children.
Smithfield: Mondays at 11:00
Windsor: Tuesdays at 10:00
Carrollton: Fridays at 9:30
On My Own Storyhour (ages 3-5)
These 45-minute sessions may include stories, fingerplays, songs, action rhymes, flannel board presentations, or a literature-based video. Simple crafts are sometimes part of the fun.

School-Age Programs
Come hang out at the library and enjoy some of the best in kids' books. These popular programs give kids a great way to unwind.
Carrollton: 1st Tuesday of every other month
Smithfield: 2nd Wednesday of each month at 2:30
Courtland: 2nd Tuesday of each month at 4:00
Franklin: Science Saturdays: Monthly from 10:00-12:00
Waverly: 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:00
Claremont: 2nd Saturday Club at 11:00
