Search the Web
Before you search-- remember to use common sense. The library cannot be responsible for content found outside of the Blackwater website. Anyone can publish online, so before you trust a webpage, ask yourself
- Is it current?
- Who published it? A professional? An amateur? An organization?
- Is there any bias in the information?
- Can I trust the publisher to be truthful? Is it someone honest or fraudulent?
- Has the content been reviewed by editors? Are there any factual errors?
And remember, everything isn't online! You will find a wonderful world of information on the internet, but don't forget to check the library. You can search for quality information in our databases and in our print materials, and your librarians can help you understand and evaluate the information you've found.
Happy searching!
