Long-Range Plan

Blackwater Regional Library's Long-Range Plan will allow our organization to realize its vision of a healthy community- one that enjoys education and literacy, enrichment, and an appreciation of cultural diversity.

Clear goals shape the Long-Range Plan and guide staff members in their endeavors. Blackwater Regional Library hopes to create an environment where children and adults receive the resources necessary to inspire learning. Within this environment, we encourage people of all ages to participate in initiatives that foster enthusiasm for reading and learning. The library plans to act as a centralized location for recreation, entertainment, and life-long learning. Blackwater Regional Library seeks to offer facilities equipped with reliable computers, high-speed access, and current software for quick electronic information retrieval. We also work to provide materials, programs, and spaces geared to meet the interests and needs of teens. Finally, the library strives to introduce multiple cultures, values, and lifestyles to the people of our region.

Working to meet the Long-Range Plan's objectives, Blackwater Regional Library hopes to expand traditional library services and remain a cohesive, focused organization.
